Green Starz Impakt Hub (abbreviated as “GreenStars”) is a social enterprise registered and domiciled in Rwanda with principal activities of Research, Capacity building, and environmental sustainability and climate mitigation. As a Social Enterprise dedicated to fostering sustainable development through professional training and consultancy services. Our mission includes providing high-quality research professional training while simultaneously enhancing climate resilience.

GreenStars has a team with unprecedented experience within Rwanda in undertaking strategy development, research design, survey design, and data analysis, quantitative and qualitative assessments as well as report writing. We offer services across the entire value chain of research and consulting in analysis for economic development. The team has designed and coordinated numerous surveys and studies for different clients.

We have to ensure that our team has sufficient skills in producing data collection tools to collect informative and accurate information that reflects the needs of our clients. We use a strict methodology for data quality assurance, such as back-checks, to guarantee the accuracy of the information gathered.

Our objective is to maintain the highest standards of quality in our monitoring and evaluation procedures while optimizing the impact and value for money. We are aware that reliable results depend on thorough data gathering and careful analysis.

Our monitoring and evaluation services assist in thoroughly exposing a range of problems that may prevent our clients from realizing their intended outcomesand impacts. In order to help our clients evaluate the socio-economic impact of their programs, we collaborate closely with them to develop suitable outcome indicators which enhances their monitoring and evaluation systems, hence, strengthen their impact and provides them capacity to precisely gauge their progress and accomplishment.

Our model

Our organization is not necessary only profit-oriented. We have a model with one income stream that supports two different social activities. We earn revenue by providing consulting services in research and impact evaluation. Part of this revenue is used for two important purposes.

First, some of the money goes towards climate action projects involving planting trees to restore the environment. We also use funds to engage with the public, especially young people in primary and secondary schools. As we involving students through founding eco-clubs “Green Clubs” and organizing competitions related to climate change mitigationin and environmental sustainability, we aim to educate and inspire the next generation of “Green Champions” who can protect the world against climate change threat.

The second activity is offering training programs to build people’s skills and abilities. These capacity building programs teach data analysis, research methods, and monitoring and evaluation techniques. Our goal is to develop a skilled workforce by equipping individuals with valuable expertise.

Ultimately, both of these activities contribute to broader national and global goals. The climate action projects through tree planting help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate climate change impacts. This environmental work aligns with international efforts to address global warming.

At the same time, the capacity building programs increase the supply of skilled labor across various sectors and industries. We believe that if we train people in critical research and analytical skills, we are developing human capital to drive economic development and progress.

In summary, our profit-generating consulting work allows us to reinvest funds into meaningful climate initiatives as well as workforce training and education. This dual-purpose approach tackles environmental sustainability while cultivating professional expertise – both of which are crucial for advancing societal goals at regional, national, and global levels.
